How To Remove Tan From Forehead Naturally?

by admin

Most of us suffer from a tanned forehead but chemical treatments aren’t the popular choice. Learn how to remove tan from forehead naturally below!

What Causes Skin Tan?

When your skin is exposed to the sun, the ultraviolet radiation from the sun causes your skin cells to produce a pigment called melanin. Melanin is the pigment that lends color to your hair, eyes, and skin. The melanin makes your skin darker and protects it from further damage due to UV radiation.

The darkened areas appear within 48 hours after exposure to the sun, known as skin tanning. The tip of your nose, cheeks, and forehead is more likely to tan. Darker skin tones tend to tan more easily than fairer skin as it has more melanocytes, the cells that produce melanin.

Why Avoid Getting Tanned in the Sun?

Sun exposure robs the skin of its moisture and leaves it dry and damaged. Prolonged exposure or exposure to the intense heat of the sun can even cause sunburns. Tanning under the sun damages your skin cells and accelerates aging. It can also lead to skin cancer.

Essential tips to follow to prevent your forehead from tanning include getting sufficient sleep. Hydration and moisturizing the skin will help in returning the natural glow to your skin. 1. Lemon Juice and Rose Water

Lemon is a rich source of vitamin C and citric acid, which help lighten skin tone. Vitamin C is also a potent antioxidant and protects skin cells from damage due to free radicals. It reduces hyperpigmentation. Rosewater and cucumber juice have anti-inflammatory properties and help cool and soothe damaged skin. Mix rose water, lemon juice, and cucumber juice in equal quantities and apply on your skin with a cotton ball. Leave on for 10 minutes and then wash off with cold water.
